map

Spanning more than 34 square miles in southeastern Wisconsin, Germantown hails as the state’s largest village in terms of square miles.

Its strategic location in Milwaukee’s northwest suburbs, within Washington County borders, affords it easy access to all the big-city amenities and cultural avenues of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Miles upon miles of U.S., state and county highway networks, plus countless local roadways, all provide commuters with quick travel in and out of the Germantown area.

Public ground transportation is available through the County Wide Shared-Ride Taxi Service, which offers door-to-door service for county residents—including specialized service for disabled residents—and the Washington County Commuter Express, which provides weekday bus transportation to and from the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Boarding can be found at the Lannon Road Park and Ride location. Amtrak rail service is also available nearby in Milwaukee.

General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is situated around 25 miles from Germantown. General Mitchell, which stands as Wisconsin’s largest airport, is served by 13 airlines offering 235 daily arrivals and 235 daily departures to 90 major cities throughout North America.
