

The Village’s Park and Recreation Department is an excellent resource for recreational opportunities in the community. The department continues to add to and expand many of its available programs, which includes everything from youth and adult sports leagues and athletics to a variety of educational classes and before- and after-school offerings.
Nearly a dozen local parks are overseen by the Park and Recreation Department in Germantown, which offers a multitude of outdoor activities including tennis, baseball, soccer, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking and picnicking—among many other activities.

WASHINGTON COUNTY PARKS SYSTEM
The Washington County Parks System is comprised of more than 1,200 acres of beautiful, well-equipped park areas, winding trail networks and sparkling lakes. Germantown is home to Homestead Hollow County Park and is in proximity to the remainder of the system’s offerings, including:

HOMESTEAD HOLLOW COUNTY PARK
Stretching more than 100 acres in the west-central part of Germantown, Homestead Hollow County Park is home to a number of varying ecosystems. Trails wind through these different ecosystems, offering hikers a unique backdrop. Four shelters are available for reservation within the park. Additional features include basketball courts, open fields, playground equipment, ice-skating and areas for fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and picnicking.
GOLF COURSES
Germantown golfers revel in the community’s two well-manicured courses—BlackStone Creek Golf Club and Riversbend Golf Course. Both courses offer a challenge to even the most seasoned player. Additional courses close by include Kettle Hills Golf Course and Arrowhead Golf Course, both situated within Richfield; Silver Spring Country Club, Wanaki Golf Course and North Hills Country Club, all located in Menomonee Falls; Mee-Kwon Park Golf Course and Missing Links Golf Club in Mequon and a wealth of others, thanks to its great location near Milwaukee. There are mini-golf courses at Logger’s Park in Richfield and Swing Time Family Golf Center in Germantown.
