The “Old World” feel to Germantown’s Main Street district makes it quite unique, with much of the area displaying the traditional German fachwerk architecture. Main Street, featuring the new Markt Platz, is lined with charming boutiques and delicious dining establishments in a distinct European environment.
Every Saturday from June to October, shoppers can peruse the high-quality homegrown produce and various items at the local Farmer’s Market, which is located at The Livery. Fruits, vegetables, dairy items, breads, flowers and a variety of handmade works can all be found at this popular Germantown event.
If you are looking for national store chains, west on County Line Road and north on Appleton Avenue is the corridor for you. You will find a wide range of choices within a relatively compact area.
