Excellence in education at all levels is a cornerstone in the life of Greenfield parents and students. Three public school district meet the learning needs of pre-K through 12th grade students, the majority of which enroll in the School District of Greenfield. Whitnall School District serves a population of Greenfield located west of 92nd Street, while a small portion of residents situated on the northwestern side of town attend the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. The district employs knowledgeable faculty and staff members who are dedicated to preparing students for the ever-changing world outside the classroom.
Graduating seniors and adult learners interested in investing in technology-oriented education programs are afforded the resources of an ITT Technical Institute campus in Greenfield. Students choose to enroll in one of five schools, including the School of Information Technology, the School of Electronics Technology, the School of Drafting and Design, the School of Business and the School of Criminal Justice.
Greenfield's proximity to Milwaukee places it within 15 miles of several outstanding institutions of higher learning as well. Among the selection is the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, Milwaukee Area Technical College, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Carroll College, Cardinal Stritch University and Waukesha County Technical College.
