Welcome to the wonderful Communities of Green Lake – known for unspoiled ambience, special lodging, great shopping and antiquing, plus distinctive dining. The four communities that comprise this area each have their own unique characteristics, and each beckons to you. The city of Green Lake is located on the north shore of Wisconsin’s deepest inland lake. Big Green Lake is well-known for lake trout, and most other fresh water fish. Markesan, near to Little Green Lake, is renowned for trophy size musky as well as walleye, northern pike, and pan fish. Princeton hugs the Fox River. It has a tradition of agriculture, and today is well-known for its large, outdoor flea market and antiquing. Ripon has a rich heritage that makes it one of Wisconsin’s most historically significant cities.
In our Communities, you’ll find a little slower pace to life. The dew sparkles on the grass a little brighter. Folks linger over lunch just a bit longer. Sunsets last a little further into the evening. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Folks can be a lot friendlier when they are not in a hurry.
Communities of Green Lake is what it is today because we are a little off the beaten path. We’ve managed to retain the history, charm, beauty and friendly atmosphere that prevailed when the first explorers passed this way. Unspoiled and natural, our rich, rolling hillsides; deep, silent woods; and sparkling lakes and streams are as inviting and tranquil now as they were long ago. If you are looking for a restful, relaxing, renewing vacation, we know that you will want to come explore in our direction.
