Wisconsin does not get better than this! Our unspoiled beauty offers a spectacular setting for four seasons of getaway fun.
The Green Lake Country Visitors Bureau represents the five communities of Berlin, Green Lake, Princeton, Markesan and Ripon who take great pride in the scenic countryside that sets them apart from other destinations.
This beautiful area appeals to the vacationer and full-time resident and offers unique shopping, a wide variety of dining and lodging options, restorative spas, excellent health care facilities, family oriented community festivals and events, diverse hunting and fishing opportunities, superior biking and cross country ski trails, and industry-leading businesses.
We pride ourselves on being a little off the beaten path, allowing us to retain the rich history and charm that prevailed when the first explorers passed this way. If you are looking for a relaxing or adventurous vacation destination, or a place to call home, come explore in our direction.
Each of our communities contributes its own special qualities and characteristics. Berlin, our anchor to the north, straddles the Fox River as it winds through the city, passing by a delightful mix of shops, parks and a legendary golf course. Just minutes to the southwest we introduce Princeton, known for its charming antiques, shops and Wisconsin’s largest outdoor flea market.

Travel south to the Markesan area and visit the Amish community, or experience the deeply held bonds of rural family farm life. Head back north a few minutes to Green Lake to take part in the arts, relax while fishing on Big Green Lake or challenge yourself on one of the area’s first class golf courses. Cruise a couple miles east to Ripon, the birthplace of the Republican Party, to enjoy the historic downtown while shopping or dining. Together we are one beautiful country for a vacation or a place to call home.
