Jefferson residents keep active all year through involvement in more than 55 diverse clubs and organizations.

There is something sure to suit any interest, with hobbies, special interests and community-oriented initiatives all available to people of all ages. Local chapters of such prominent entities as the American Legion, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Masonic Lodge, United Way, Lions, Optimists, Rotary and Veterans of Foreign Wars all call the Jefferson community home.
Snowmobile and sportsman clubs are available for those who enjoy athletics and the outdoors, while local youth can take advantage of such associations as 4-H clubs, the J.A.W.S. swimming club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Falcon Friends and Explorers.
The area’s senior population has access to such groups as the local chapter of the AARP, formerly the American Association of Retired Persons, the Over 50 Club and the Jefferson Cab Committee, which offers free cab rides for area seniors. The addition of the new Jefferson Senior Center in 2003 has only supplemented the offerings for senior citizens of Jefferson.
