The area’s primary and secondary level students are afforded prime educational opportunities through the School District of Jefferson.

A recognized leader in education excellence, the School District of Jefferson, in partnership with the community, provides an outstanding learning environment for all students. The district is composed of five schools, which includes West Elementary (K-5), East Elementary (K-5), Sullivan Elementary (K-5), Jefferson Middle School (6-8) and Jefferson High School (9-12). In addition to the first-class curriculum provided to students, the district’s schools provide special programming and a variety of extra-curricular activities such as athletics and an eclectic array of clubs and organizations.
Alternatives to the public education route are available through Jefferson’s two parochial institutions—St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran and St. John the Baptist grade schools. Additionally, Jefferson is fortunate to be home to St. Coletta of Wisconsin, one of the oldest Catholic service organizations in the country, which provides residential and vocational programming to individuals with developmental disabilities.
