Welcome to Jefferson, “The Gemuetlichkeit City.” We are excited to share our community with you. Whether you are a long-time resident, visiting us for the first time, own a business or are considering opening a business, we look forward to serving you.

The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a partner in the ongoing development of our community for the past 40+ years. Along with its local member partners, the Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to its mission of promoting business and the growth of the community of Jefferson. On a lighter side, the Chamber has been the driving force behind several of the events held annually (City-wide Rummage Sale, Concerts in the Park, Lights Parade) and beautification projects (Christmas decorations, seasonal banners, entrance signs, and flower receptacles) over the years just to name a few.

Having just gone through the worst flooding in the history of Jefferson, it was evident how much dedication the residents of Jefferson have for their community. The 2008 flood is something we will remember forever. More importantly, we will remember how everyone worked together to keep lines of communication flowing and how the residents of Jefferson came together to help one another during this time. Thank you for whatever your participation was during the flooding.
