With over 3,200 lakes, streams and ponds throughout Oneida and Vilas Counties, this area ranks as having one of the largest concentrations of fresh water bodies in the world! In addition to our beautiful lakes, our area is surrounded by the magnificence of the Northern Highland - American Legion State Forest.

Although our area still has the charm and appeal of a small town, we can offer the exciting activities of a much larger tourist destination. If our office is not open when you need our help, we invite you to use our InnLine computer system which offers up-to-date information on accommodations, shopping, arts, recreation, dining possibilities and events with the touch of a finger. With kiosks at two convenient locations (outside the Chamber office in Minocqua, and at Mundt's on U.S. Highway 51 in Arbor Vitae), you will have access to this information 24-hours a day.
