In February of 2011, the university’s administrative offices relocated from downtown Milwaukee to Menomonee Falls to accommodate the increase in staff size due to student population growth. Herzing University Online currently serves over 5,000 students. Approximately 10 percent of those students reside in Wisconsin, with the majority of them living in the southern half of the state. Menomonee Falls students can easily commute to several colleges and universities in the immediate area. Waukesha County Technical College, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, Carroll College, Cardinal Stritch College and Concordia University are among the nearest. The main campus of Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) is located in nearby Pewaukee. WCTC awards associate degrees, technical diplomas and certificates.
WCTC teaches nearly 60 different technical career programs in business, industry, science and service occupations. The process involves hundreds of courses. In addition, it offers seven apprenticeship programs that require two-to-five years to complete.
The college is heavily involved in economic development in Waukesha County. It assists business and industry with custom-designed worker training programs, provides technical assistance to local firms, offers training and other forms of support for entrepreneurial and small businesses and works with communities to enhance economic growth.
The largest of 14 University of Wisconsin Central System campuses, UW-Waukesha is a two-year college that offers associate degrees in a wide range of academic subjects.
