Traveling Around Town

In The Falls’ downtown (its historic Village Centre), State Routes 74, 100 and 175 intersect, carrying traffic from the Village to neighboring communities.

A complete range of transportation is available to area business and industry. More than 200 trucking and warehousing firms make Waukesha County their home. The Port of Milwaukee is 17 miles to the east, and provides shipping to all the world’s ports via the St. Lawrence Seaway.

General Mitchell International Airport is about 25 miles from Menomonee Falls. It is served by 19 international, national and regional airlines that fly to more than 45 of the nation’s metropolitan centers. Another 15 cargo airlines also fly out of Mitchell International.

Three small airports are located within a few minutes of The Falls, serving the needs of privately owned aircraft and corporate jets. Timmerman Field is about five minutes from The Falls. Capitol Airport is only a mile south of the Village and Waukesha County-Crites Field is located seven miles to the south.

Commuter bus service from Milwaukee is provided by the Milwaukee County Transit System and supported by local employers. Limousine service to Mitchell International and other points in the Milwaukee metropolitan area is available. Specialized public transportation for elderly and disabled residents is provided by the Village, the local school district and the county.
