Menomonee Falls has many unique features that make it an attractive spot for tourists. Beginning with the lovely waterfall that gives the Village its name, visitors can hike, bike or stroll the “Bug Line” Recreation Trail and the Riverfront Trail – 12 miles of winding, marked pathways.

Also unique to The Falls is the Old Falls Village Historical Park and Museum, nestled on the grounds of a beautiful 17-acre park. The museum invites visitors to step back in time and glimpse life as it was during the mid-1800s to the early 1900s.

Featuring a variety of historic homes and buildings, this living history museum includes a log home, a schoolhouse, a barn, a railroad depot, a log cabin and a dairy. The centerpiece of Old Falls Village is the 1858 Miller-Davidson House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Each of the buildings also feature antiques and artifacts from the time. Open May through September, costumed guides make history come alive.

The Museum hosts a variety of special events each year — including the popular Ice Cream Festival, Quilt Show, Civil War Encampment and the Old Haunted Village. Other community events include Falls Fest, A Community Affair, Cheery Cherry Fair, The Big Pig Gig (a National Kansas City BBQ competition) and Falls Harvest Fair. These are just a few of the annual festivals enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.

For those longing for the greens, Menomonee Falls has several excellent golf courses sure to challenge the best golfers. North Hills Country Club, regarded as one of the states finest, is an 18-hole private course and host to the Lombardi Classic. Public courses are available at Arrowhead Springs Golf Club, Kettle Hills, Dretzka, Riversbend, Lake Park and Silver Spring. The scenic Fox River meanders through Wanaki Golf Course in Menomonee Falls where it creates water hazards at seven of the 18 holes and adds beauty to the course.

The Falls is known for its beautiful parks. More than 400 acres make up Menomonee Park, located just west of the village. The park boasts campsites, nature trails and an archery range, and it offers fishing and swimming on a sandy beach. In winter, it offers a sledding hill, ice-skating and trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

For those making an overnight visit, the Menomonee Falls area has nine hotels and motor inns. Many of these facilities offer dining, meeting rooms, pools and whirlpool services. There is so much to see and do in Menomonee Falls.
