
Menomonee Falls students can easily commute to several colleges and universities in the immediate area. Waukesha County Technical College, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University and Carroll College are among the nearest. The main campus of Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) is located in nearby Pewaukee. WCTC also offers adult education evening courses at its Menomonee Falls campus, as well as at several other sites throughout the county. WCTC awards associate degrees, technical diplomas and certificates.
WCTC teaches nearly 60 different technical career programs in business, industry, science and service occupations. The process involves hundreds of courses. In addition, it offers seven apprenticeship programs that require between two to five years to complete.
The college is heavily involved in economic development in Waukesha County. It assists business and industry with custom-designed worker training programs, provides technical assistance to local firms, offers training and other forms of support for entrepreneurial and small businesses, and works with communities to enhance economic growth.
The largest of 14 University of Wisconsin Central System campuses, UW-Waukesha is a two-year college that offers associate degrees in a wide range of academic subjects. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin-Madison are four-year institutions and the only doctoral degree granting institutions in the University of Wisconsin System.
Marquette University in Milwaukee is a leading Catholic university that offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in a variety of academic fields. Its impressive urban campus occupies a large area close to the city’s downtown business center.
Established in 1841, Carroll College is Wisconsin’s oldest institution of higher learning. Known today as a “Pioneer College,” Carroll remains a non-sectarian, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. Carroll College offers degrees in 28 fields of study, and its 40-acre campus is located near downtown Waukesha, 16 miles away from The Falls.
