New London Museum and Library—Open to the public, this historic library was built in 1914 and remodeled in 1986. The Museum was founded in 1932 by Charles F. Carr, one of the City's first librarians. Located at 406 S. Pearl St. Closed Saturday and Sunday during the summer.

New London has a state-recognized progressive K through 12 school system. The student-centered curriculum and instruction encourages life-long learning through direct programs with vocational/technical colleges and university systems as well as an aggressive School-to-Work program. The District also sponsors a variety of cocurricular activities ranging from the performing arts to athletic programs. Go Bull Dogs!

The most recent addition to the New London School District, located on a 36 acre complex, is a 223,000 sq. ft. high school for up to 1,200 students. The facility includes a 600-seat auditorium, a three-station gymnasium and state-of-the-art computer network and internet capabilities.

The City of New London has two active industrial parks. Beckert Industrial Park is on the south side of the city adjacent to the largest manufacturer in New London, Hillshire Farm & Kahn's. Several fully developed lots are available.

Handschke Business Park is located on the north side of the city adjacent to U.S. Hwy 45. Several national retailers, such as Wal-Mart and True Value Hardware, are across the street from the park. There are 40 acres available; all lots are fully developed.

To meet the future demand, the city of New London will soon open a new industrial park located on the northeast side of town. The park will encompass approximately 200 acres, have easy access to U.S. Hwy 45 and be serviced by sewer and water.
