2000-2001: Board
of Directors
The Oshkosh Chamber
of Commerce Board
of Directors sets public positions, approves the annual budget, reviews
the annual programs of work, reviews and accepts the annual audit report,
approves new Board members, and through its committees, manages the President/CEO,
manages and develops Board membership, and develops and approves the strategic
plan.
Each member of the
Board of Directors also serves on one of the following four committees:
Executive:
Approves operational policy, communicates public policy as approved by
the Board, reviews financial performance, provides input on the President/CEOs
performance and selects the financial auditing firm.
Strategic
Planning: Develops a strategic plan, approves the program of
work and monitors the program of work.
Board
Management:
Sets the Boards agenda, reviews and assesses Board composition needs,
recommends nominees to the Board, conducts orientation of new Board members,
plans continuous Board education, evaluates the performance of current
Board members, and recommends changes in bylaws, committee structure and
relationships with affiliates.
President/CEO
Management:
Develops job performance expectations, develops and implements the review
process, evaluates job performance, develops a compensation package, recommends
the process to the Board for hiring, and terminates the president/CEO,
if necessary.

Karen assists with the coordination and implementation of Chamber publications,
services and programs.

Casper
President and CEO, Ext. 18
John works with the Chairman of the Board and Board of Directors to formulate
policy aimed at advancing the area business climate. He is responsible
for the Chambers role in legislative and governmental affairs, transportation
and aviation issues, work force development, and small business development.
He also oversees Chamber operations and management.

Chamber/OCDC Representative, Ext. 28
Bob assists with community issues, including business development and
retention.
Karlene
Grabner
Membership Development
Coordinator, Ext. 11
Karlene is responsible for increasing and retaining the number of Chamber-member
businesses and organizations. She works closely with Ambassadors and handles
membership inquiries. She
also coordinates the Golf Outing, Annual Meeting, Business After Hours
and Business Expo.
Mark
Halfen
Administrative Assistant, Ext. 12
Mark manages the Oshkosh Chamber Web site and Community Web site. He maintains
the membership database, handles bulk mailings, and maintains the Chamber
calendar. He also is responsible for performing administrative support
functions.
Joan
Hildebrand
Community Information Coordinator, Ext. 10
Joan is responsible for greeting the public and making a favorable first
impression. She coordinates general community information, including local
business referrals and newcomer inquiries. She also provides office assistance.
Kelli Karpinski
Director of Marketing and
Member Services, Ext. 20
Kelli is responsible for increasing the Chambers visibility and
enhancing its image to members and the community. She handles all marketing
functions and the production of publications, media relations, and other
internal and external communications. She also manages all Chamber programs
and services, including educational seminars.
Stan
Kline
International Trade Coordinator, Ext. 13
Stan markets and promotes international trade opportunities for local
manufacturers. He serves as the link between manufacturers and the state
Department of Commerce. He also is the staff liaison to the Governmental
Affairs Committee, Manufacturers Council and Government Procurement.
Gina
Mangan
Director of Education, Ext. 26
Gina coordinates and develops business/education partnerships, including
youth apprenticeships, Partners at Learning (PALs) and other School-to-Careers
programs. Her duties also include coordinating and marketing education
programs, such as Career Fair and Educator in the Workplace.
Judy
Rehm
Controller, Ext. 23
Judy is responsible for the overall management of Chamber office operations
and for all financial reporting and accounting for the Chamber, OCDC and
Chamber affiliates. She also manages human resources, staff policies and
procedures, and information technology, including the computer system
network.
Lynne
Webster
Leadership Oshkosh Coordinator, Ext. 15
Lynne develops and implements the Leadership Oshkosh program, which educates
participants about Oshkosh so that they will be better able to serve their
community. She also coordinates the Political Training program.
Oshkosh Commercial
Development Corp. (OCDC)
Rob Kleman
Executive Director, Ext. 14
Rob recruits and retains commercial business, including retail and service
businesses. He assists with business startups and market information and
provides site selection. He assists with commercial development projects,
including the river front, central city and business park. He leads commercial
rehabilitation and streetscaping improvements and supports Chamber affiliates.
Michelle
Robbins
Downtown and Special Projects Coordinator, Ext. 31
Michelle assists with downtown development and revitalization, marketing
and promoting downtown-related projects, and acts as a liaison between
downtown organizations and the public and city. She also coordinates special
events, including Waterfest, Mayors Breakfast, Farmers Market
and Holiday Parade.
