Throughout the year, residents enjoy a variety of parades, festivals, and special activities. Whether it’s a church-sponsored fish fry, a musical festival, or a fireworks display - there are always community events going on in Platteville. Some of our favorite annual events include the Party in the Park, Strawberry Festival, Hometown Festival, Quilt Show, Art Fair, Haunted House, Dairy Days and the 4th of July.

Platteville hosts an annual Historic Encampment held in Moundview Park featuring various historic displays and demonstrations set up that replicate camp life. This "History comes to life" event hosts a special "student day" that draws in over 2,000 students from the surrounding area.
