Chamber of Commerce
The Portage Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community. Our mission is to provide leadership for building a healthy economy and a high quality of life in the Portage community. The Chamber is made up of businesses, organizations and individuals who are working as one voice for the community. We work together on critical issues and partner in economic development to attract new businesses and foster growth among existing enterprises.
As we work to better our community, we are a springboard for community awareness, volunteerism and fostering leadership that is committed to making Portage a better community. We partner with businesses to help them grow and succeed. We work with our businesses to increase educational opportunities while helping our young leaders discover what it takes to become a leader in their community. We work for the business interests in a way that benefits the community as a whole. We contribute to the overall quality of life in the Portage area by sponsoring events; such as an annual outdoor Concert in the Park, with a performance by the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Taste of Portage, Business Expo, Ghostly Legends on Society Hill and holiday events.
Every day we provide resources and information, such as this guide, to our visitors and people looking to relocate to our community. We have a wonderful group of businesses, individuals and volunteers who consistently give of their time and resources to support our endeavors. We are committed to the success and growth of our community with the help of leaders who work in collaboration to provide the best for all involved.
