The Sussex WI and surrounding areas have seen much change in the past few years. No matter the industry, with the arrival of each new business comes an opportunity for those businesses who came before to evaluate what they have to offer and continue providing competitive services and products to their clients.
It takes all of our businesses and residents to build, and then maintain, a strong community. As Jim Rohn, business philosopher and author said, “The Pledge of Allegiance starts with ‘I’ and ends with ‘all.’ That's what America is all about – ‘I’ (individual) and ‘all’ (all of us). When all of us understand how valuable each of us is, that’s powerful.”
Through networking events, sponsorship and advertising opportunities, education events and more, your Sussex WI Chamber membership provides tools to be part of the “all” that will aid in carrying us through these tough economic times together. All you have to do is get involved.
The Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce continues to grow. Our membership is made up of community and business leaders from a variety of backgrounds, and each offers unique perspectives to ensure we continue on our mission to “strive to create a positive business environment through enhanced partnerships with our members and community leaders.” Some of our partners include the Hamilton School District, Sussex Area Outreach Services, Pauline Haass Public Library, as well as the Sussex, Lannon and Lisbon municipalities.
I encourage you to visit the Chamber Web site at www.sussexareachamber.org to view our calendar of events, find businesses in our member directory and catch up on information from our current and past newsletters. You may also contact the Chamber directly through the Web site by simply clicking on Chamber then Contact Us or by calling (262) 246-4940. Our Executive Director, Office Manager or myself would be happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.
We hope to see you often and look forward to growing the Sussex Community together.
